Thoughts Become Things — Supersized!

All you require is you, and your ability to think things into being. Everything that has been invented and created throughout the history of human kind began with one thought. From that one thought a way was made, and it manifested from the invisible into the visible.

“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase. Just take the first step.” ~~Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (from The Secret Daily Teaching 5/24/19)

As I sat on the deck the other morning, I watched the trees being blown by the gentle wind, with the morning light and blue sky as the backdrop. I had just read this teaching/quote and I thought about how God created the entire world with one thought: Let there be light!

That same God — the God of trees and sky, planets and universes, longs to create miracles in our lives, too!

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light” (Genesis 1:1–3 NIV).

Talk about thoughts becoming things! We have that same power to manifest what we envision! We just have to tap into it! Jesus told us to ask and we will receive. But he chastised us that we do not have because we do not know how to ask. Ask believing it will happen! Imagine the end result and start praying on that! Ask every day, every hour! Keep speaking your reality into existence!

If thoughts really do become things, then we understand that negative thoughts work against us! In fact, if like attracts like, it stands to reason that the more negative things we think about — the more we complain — the more negative things will be drawn to us — and life will be full of even more to complain about! Believing in the goodness and greatness of God, we ask with expectation and anticipation! Imagining the best life possible for ourselves, with the best possible outcome in every situation. Not that we won’t ever have problems or illnesses, or struggles. But focusing on the good draws more good!

Here’s a caution though: You just might find that God is up to something so much bigger and better than what you’re asking for! I mean sooooo much bigger! Don’t be put off by that! Just be ready! Have your mind and heart ready for the adventure He has planned! Our asking for something small, believing it will be reality, starts the stream of blessings and opens the floodgates for huge blessings.

So, Ask. Seek. Knock. Believe. And the hang on tight!
