Oops! I’m an Accidental Author!

Actually, I’m a twice-published solo book author and contributor to several anthologies, two of which became Amazon #1 best sellers!

November 1st was the beginning of something new and next level for me though! I can’t quite articulate what “it” will be yet, but something definitely happened and is changing me for the better!

I signed up for #NaNoWriMo2022! (National Novel Writing Month) Every year when it rolls around, I hardly give it a passing thought! Ridiculous! Who has time for that? I don’t need to be part of this to write (one of) my book(s). Excuses? Yes. Valid? Nope! This November is different!

This November (day five perspective and reflections):

I talked about this with a friend in advance. She has entered in previous years but didn’t finish. We agreed it would be too much. We talked about hosting our own smaller version of the program with our writer friends and our clients. We thought about setting “smaller goals” and having actual prizes and what the thresholds would be! (We didn’t do it! It remained a conversation in the past and we moved on.)

November 1st I was co-hosting a Clubhouse room that’s been running for several months. My friend (and fellow discussion participant) announced she decided to sign up for NaNoWriMo. I don’t know why, but I decided at that moment I would, too! There are lots of reasons and precipitating factors behind my seeming random and spur of the moment decision!
